Fountain Valley Regional Hospital engaged Jensen + Partners to propose cost-effective ways to address a range of near-term and long-term facility and operations challenges. Past proposed additions to the hospital were deemed not to be cost-effective, and Fountain Valley needed an updated plan to stay competitive in an evolving healthcare environment.
A broad but integrated approach to planning addressed both near- and long-term goals simultaneously with a phased proposal to move non-OSHPD functions out of existing OSHPD space—resulting in lower construction costs for the new space—and to repurpose the vacated OSHPD space to improve patient flow and relieve space constraints. A detailed phased implementation plan allows Fountain Valley Regional Hospital to move prudently and incrementally toward a future campus that is more responsive to patient, physician, and staff needs, and a more appealing place to work and visit.
